How my little contribution helped a child to receive education

I am a working lady doing a 10 to 7 job. My work is to manage the files and documents of my company. I work at the secretary level in my office. I have a busy schedule throughout the day. I get up at 6 in the morning prepare my son for his school. Help my husband to get ready for office. I and my husband generally leave for our office together. I am a soft hearted person. I always try to help the deprived children by doing little contribution from my end. I had a desire to help at least a child apart from my son in his/her education.

There are different means to do charity in india but truly I never got a chance to think about it. I was so busy with all my work and responsibilities that my desire remained dumped somewhere inside me. One day when I was returning from my office and my taxi stopped at a signal a child came up to my taxi. She was holding another baby in her arms and was saying that she needs money to feed the baby. I was so shocked to see her condition no food no education. The age when she should go to school and play with other children she was begging for food and money at traffic signals.

I gave her a twenty rupees note she left by thanking and blessing me and I saw a broad smile on her face. One the very same day I searched for an education ngo on the internet. I came across various articles written on rural education on different websites. That day I came to know that India is a country where the need of tribal education is at its alarming situation. I discussed the matter with my husband and shared my desire to be a part of charity education india. He supported me and asked me to go ahead and follow my heart.
The next day while I again searched for an NGO that focuses on rural education along with tribal education. I came across a website www.ftsindia.com that operates number of rural schools with the name of Ekal Vidyalaya. I went through their different chapters on their website and saw their dedicated contribution in the rural development. Each day after reaching the office I used to read one of the chapters. The website of FTS India is highly informative and shows the real picture of rural India.

I visited the physical office of FTS India in Kolkata and expressed my desire. The staffs of FTS India welcomed me for doing charity in india. One of the staffs shared the complete process to me and gave me a form to fill up. I was very glad that I can donate to an education NGO and took an appointment from them when I can donate the money. I took the appointment because I want my husband and my son to be with me. On the date of the appointment I, my husband and my son reached the office of FTS India and completed all the formalities.

I am grateful to FTS India for making my desire a reality. I thank them for giving importance to charity education india and establishing Rural Schools throughout the rural areas.
